You can contact us directly or you can ask the Transplant Nurses, ocialWorkers or Coordinators to put you in contact with a heart or lung transplant recipient.
We will ensure that you talk to an appropriate member of our Association, ither in your local area or when you are next in the Mater Hospital.
Absolute confidentiality is practised by the hospital, and we can only talk to you if it is your wish. We know from experience that it can help to talk to a transplant recipient. This might be someone who had their operation done a long time go and who is now back working or studying. It could also be someone who has married and had children since their operation.
Thanks to the Association, this support is only a phone call away.
